Still of the fire footage published by Russian Telegram channels

On the night of October 7, drones attacked Crimea’s largest oil transshipment terminal in Feodosia. The strike destroyed two tanks, and damaged two others, and the fire has not yet been eliminated, according to local media and Telegram channels.

At around 4:30 am, citizens reported several powerful explosions, which were followed by fire. The Russian occupation administration confirmed the fire on the territory of the terminal.

Later, the head of the occupation administration of Feodosia, Igor Tkachenko, said that the city has introduced a “municipal-level technogenic emergency situation” and blocked car traffic in the area adjacent to the oil depot.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that the attack on the oil terminal in Feodosia was carried out by the Ukrainian military.

According to open sources, the oil depot that is burning in Feodosia is the “Marine Oil Terminal”, which is the largest in the occupied Crimea in terms of oil product transshipment. In total, there are two such terminals on the peninsula, the other located in occupied Sevastopol. Its storage capacity is 250,000 cubic meters.

In March 2024, drones already attacked the Marine Oil Terminal in Feodosia. The strike damaged a fuel-pumping pipeline. The terminal was also attacked in December and November 2023.
