The head of the Donetsk “republic” Denis Pushilin noted at a recent meeting that with the arrival of new regional utility providers, the number of complaints regarding the final amounts in the receipts and overly complicated recalculation has increased. His Telegram channel reported that Pushilin instructed the companies “to provide accessible explanations for the population,” 0629 reported.

However, residents of the Donetsk region say that the problem is not in the explanations, but in the lack of utilities. “The garbage has not been taken out for weeks, there is no water, and bills are not coming,” Tamara K., a resident of Donetsk, complains on Facebook.

In Mariupol, the situation with payments is no better. At some addresses, people have not received payments for 3-4 months, and they worry about amounts they will eventually be charged.

Another problem is payments to owners of destroyed housing: they are charged for services that are not provided. “They bring bills and then say: go to the utility company and find out right there. As if it were easy to do. But you have to stand there for hours to get to the operator. And it’s not a given that they will help you. It’s just horrible,” complains Mariupol resident Maria D.
