Men under occupation are forced to register for military service
Men of military age in the occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region can no longer receive social services without a military registration document, RIA Pivden reports.
“As long as you don’t need to change your car licence or re-register your property, for example, or don’t work in a public institution, you can still get away with it. But as soon as you need to get a document, they immediately send you to a military conscription office and then to a medical examination. Interestingly, everyone is declared fit for military service. Even if you have a bunch of chronic diseases or are missing an organ,” a resident of the Zaporizhzhia region said under conditions of anonymity about the situation under occupation.
Earlier, the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional administration, Ivan Fedorov, has stated that preparations for mobilisation were underway in the occupied territories. According to him, “approximately 550-600 thousand people lived in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia region until February 24. We understand that about 40-50 per cent of the population has left. So today, there are approximately 350-400 thousand indigenous people who live under temporary occupation. This means that the mobilisation potential today is at least 50-70 thousand people whom the enemy can drag into his ruscist army.”
