Occupation authorities transfer land in central Mariupol for building construction to a Russian company
The head of the Donetsk “republic” Denis Pushilin has leased a 4803 m² plot in Mariupol to the Russian Specialised Developer TUS-NR1 LLC. Pushilin signed the respective order on August 23, 2024, 0629 reported.
The plot was transferred for construction without bidding.
According to the document, the site is located at 117a Budivelnykiv Avenue. An apartment building is planned to be built on the site. Pushilin did not specify in the order whether it would be a mortgage or compensatory housing for Mariupol residents.
Recently, the occupiers have been practising a new scheme: they dismantle a building, build a new one in its place, with housing for which they issue mortgages, and give this building an allegedly old address, but with a letter prefix to the number. As a result, the owners of apartments in the dismantled building cannot apply for apartments in the new one. The occupiers used this scheme to build a house with mortgage housing at 82 Nakhimova Avenue, a house at 8 Khmelnytskoho Boulevard, and others.
The new building will be built in the city centre, near Svobody Square. The address 117a Budivelnykiv Avenue did not exist on the map of Mariupol before.
Specialised Developer TUS-NR1 LLC was registered in Donetsk in November 2023 and in Kazan, Russia, in May 2023. The director and owner of the company, Lenar Sharipov, is an entrepreneur from Tatarstan. In Russia, he is the head of 5 construction companies and the founder of 8 companies.
