Russian security agencies did not let refugees from “liberated” Krasnohorivka visit their children in occupied neighbouring Donetsk
Russian security agencies have refused to let Ukrainian citizens who fled from the destroyed Krasnohorivka, which has been a war zone since 2014, into Donetsk, Farvater.Skhid reported citing a pro-Russian Donetsk media outlet.
Donetsk resident Iryna Tseluiko told about the “tragedy” of her parents, who tried to move from Krasnohorivka, which she said was “liberated from Ukrainian troops”, to their children in occupied Donetsk. Upon arrival at Sheremetievo airport in Moscow, they were turned back.
“They lost everything there, they were abused for 10 years, but they steadfastly waited for our people, they miraculously escaped, made documents, saved up money and strength to make a long journey for the first time to come to their children in Donetsk, and later return to Krasnohorivka as Russian citizens. But, unfortunately, they were turned back at Sheremetievo,” the woman complained.
Iryna said that her parents had lost everything in Ukraine, found themselves in a difficult financial situation and were in poor physical condition. The woman wrote several requests to various Russian authorities to find out what was the reason for the refusal and why refugees who had arrived legally through Poland to Russia could not get to their children in Donetsk.
