Two men reportedly imprisoned in the occupied Luhansk region for allegedly helping Ukraine
Yuriy Galetsky, a 40-year-old Ukrainian citizen, was reportedly sentenced to 13 years in prison by the so-called ‘LPR Supreme Court’. An unnamed man was also reportedly sentenced to 8.5 years for allegedly transferring donations to the Azov Brigade.
This was reported by the local Russian propaganda resource Luhansk Information Centre, according to Realna Gazeta.
Yuriy Galetsky was found guilty under Article 276 of the Russian Criminal Code (espionage). According to the propagandists, since 2022, he had been voluntarily collecting information about the locations of the Russian occupiers in the Kharkiv region. He allegedly passed the information to the Ukrainian special services during personal meetings.
The unnamed man allegedly transferred donations to the Azov Brigade at least eight times since November 2023. Rosgvardia later detained him.
As Realna Gazeta reported, previously, it was also claimed in the occupied Luhansk region, that a man was arrested for alleged espionage.
