Russians imprisoned Nariman Abliazov, a resident of the occupied part of the Kherson region, on charges of participating in the blockade of Crimea, one of the local pro-Russian media outlets reported on this on Telegram, according to Most.  

The occupiers’ court sentenced a Genichesk businessman and activist Abliazov to 3.5 years of imprisonment with one year in prison, 2.5 years in a strict regime penal colony, and one year of restriction of liberty.

The man was accused of involvement in the Noman Chelebidzhikhan battalion and the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people. It was claimed that Abliazov had been involved in the battalion since 2014, and as a head of the Mejlis branch, he recruited members for the battalion.

Nariman Ablyazov was also accused of transferring material resources and money to the battalion to equip its base in the Kherson region. He was repressed by the Russian Federal Security Service and the Investigative Committee.

According to the head of the regional civil-military administration Oleksandr Prokudin, as of the beginning of this year, at least 922 residents of the Kherson region were held in Russian captivity.
