Ukrainian serviceman sentenced in occupied Donetsk
An occupation court in Donetsk sentenced a Ukrainian serviceman Vitaliy Matviyenko to 30 years in a maximum security prison for allegedly shooting a car with refugees, Russian propaganda media outlet TASS reported, according to Realna Gazeta.
Vitaliy Matvienko, 38, was a paramedic at the medical unit of the rocket artillery battalion of the 36th separate marine brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Propagandists claimed he committed the “crime” in the spring of 2022 in Mariupol. Matvienko allegedly shot a car with white ribbons on the rear-view mirrors and car handles with an assault rifle. There were four civilians in a car. “People managed to escape from the shelling zone,” the propagandists said in the news message.
